Elopement Announcements And Why You Should Send Them

Congrats! You got married to the love of your life and that in itself is incredibly special! Part of me has always been jealous of the couple that elopes. Whether you hopped on a plane to Hawaii or just drove to the courthouse the result is all the same and that should be celebrated!

If you are in-between wanting to send elopement announcements let me tell you why you should. Some may say I am biased being a stationer but the truth is when you have a huge win in your life I think it should be celebrated and shared. I don’t mean through a phone or computer screen either. I mean with a tangible piece that your friends and family get to see and hold. In the digital age we have lost so much but that will not stop the true joy you get when you receive a piece of mail that you can actually hold and save to look at. Did I get you yet?

Great! Now that you want your friends and family to revel in the joy with you I wanted to explain the options you have when it comes to elopement announcements and what exactly you should include on them. Every couple elopes for a different reason and has a different intention afterwards which is what makes these so great. The wording is completely customizable! If you are a couple that just decided to elope and skip the big party thats great! Elopement announcements can be used simply to inform everyone you know of your recent vows, and cough cough, they may even send you a gift. That should be reason enough!

The second couple these work for is the ones that decided to elope but still want to throw a reception and celebrate with everyone in person. To be honest with 2020 I know there are a ton of couples choosing this option but simply don’t know when to actually plan their party. That is completely fine as well! Your elopement announcement can simply be used to let people know your are officially of spouse status and that you are planning a reception with more details coming at a later date! The great thing is I have designed all of my elopement announcements around my collection suites so you can find a matching invitation to send at a later date. Are you a couple that already has a reception planned? Cheers to being so ahead! You can also include your reception information on your elopement announcement and even include a rsvp card in it to be used just like an invitation.

So what exactly is included with an elopement announcement? Of course I have set these up to work just like my collection suites! Announcements are two sided to allow you to add an elopement photo on the back and as always you get to pick your envelope & ink colors, paper, font and all the embellishments!
